Delivery of the vehicle for OSCE

The Ukrainian department of OSCE is receiving a consignment of the new Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles till June 2020. Responsibility for the inland delivery is taken by Formag-Kiev. The first cars were successfully delivered to our customer by our team at the end of March.

Since the consignee is not an ordinary importer, but the international organization, the cargo is diplomatic. The shipment of this kind of goods requires special skills and competencies at all stages of the process.

Such deliveries are always complicated and full of unexpected challenges, but this time it gave to surprise more than ever. The coronavirus pandemic has made a number of adjustments to the intended action plan.

The suddenly begun quarantine, both in the country of shipment and in Ukraine, did not give a possibility to collect a full package of documents, which made it necessary to write additional letters to all port services, which, by that time, had already switched to the remote mode of operation. Operational delays began. The cargo was delayed in transit ports too due to the sanitation of each vessel. Moreover, the validity period of the customer’s accreditation was coming to an end and there was a chance to stay at Kyiv customs until it was renewed.

But, despite the quarantine conditions, constant operational delays and a completely new format of the remote work, ensuring the uninterrupted and timely delivery is the main duty of the forwarder.

The Formag-Kiev team did its utmost to ensure that the customer received the goods without the significant impact of the above-mentioned factors.

Now we are waiting for the following deliveries.
