IMO Class 9 dangerous goods can now be shipped from China as part of a regular LCL consolidation service

October 6, 2026

We have expanded our LCL shipping capabilities from China to include **IMO Class 9** cargo within regular ocean freight consolidation services.

Class 9 covers dangerous goods that pose risks during transportation but do not fall under other IMDG hazard classes.

This category may include, among others:

  • lithium batteries and equipment containing them
  • dry ice
  • environmentally hazardous substances
  • certain battery-powered vehicles and equipment
  • other substances and articles classified under IMO Class 9

Regular departures

  • Shanghai – weekly
  • Shenzhen – every two weeks

This service expands LCL shipping options for cargo that requires specific handling and documentation but does not require a full container.

Each DG shipment is assessed individually based on the cargo characteristics, UN Number and applicable transportation requirements.
