DDP delivery of a chemical soil compaction mixture to Ukraine
Hamburg → Kyiv | Road freight | DDP support: customs, taxes, unloading
We took over the delivery for Nippon Express—as their sole official representative in Ukraine—on a project where the shipper was a Japanese company. We’re outlining this case because the client’s request was very specific: execute a DDP shipment in Ukraine so the consignee would receive the cargo with minimal administrative involvement.
Route: Hamburg (Germany) → Kyiv (Ukraine) → final delivery within Ukraine
Mode: Road transport by curtain-sider truck
Cargo: Chemical blend for soil stabilization
Our DDP scope: Document review and adjustment, customs-clearance coordination, handling payments/taxes under the DDP scheme, and arranging unloading at the consignee’s site
Critical point: Correct classification and alignment of documentation for chemically specified cargo
This project wasn’t so much about “moving freight” as it was about making DDP actually work in Ukraine: preparing the paperwork in advance, removing uncertainty around classification, and ensuring predictable clearance and delivery to the unloading point.
