Delivery of 2.5 MW generator units from the Czech Republic to Ukraine

Heavy & oversized road transport | 2 lowbed trailers + 8 trucks | Coordinated group delivery | 5 days
We organized the delivery of two 2.5 MW-class generator units to the Lviv region, Ukraine. Due to the size and weight of each unit, the shipment moved as a coordinated group: the generators on lowbed trailers, supported by additional trucks carrying related components. Because lowbed trailers move slower, the entire group schedule was built around the heavy-haul pace so all vehicles could proceed through the key stages together.
Route: Czech Republic → western border crossing → Lviv region (Ukraine)
Mode: road transport (heavy-duty lowbed trailers + supporting trucks)
Cargo: 2.5 MW generator units + related components
Group structure: 2 lowbed trailers + 8 trucks total
per generator: 1 lowbed trailer + 2 mega curtain-siders (increased loading height) + 2 standard curtain-siders
Critical execution points:
securement on the lowbed trailers – generators were lashed with chains
unloading preparation – crane operations arranged to handle 42-ton units safely at destination
Documentation: standard export documentation package (invoice, export declaration, packing list)
Transit time: 5 days from loading
The key was coordination: sourcing the right equipment, aligning multiple vehicles to move as one shipment, and preparing specialized lifting resources at the destination site.
