International Delivery of Specialized Vehicles from Japan to Moldova: Ro-Ro + Road Transport

Ro-Ro + OOG road transport | 20 units | Transit via Europe

We organized the delivery of 20 fire engines from Japan to Moldova using Ro-Ro shipping and further oversized road transport (OOG) through several European transit ports.

The key objective was to synchronize all route interfaces – port-to-road transfer, minimize terminal downtime, and maintain full operational control of the process, even when the final delivery point changed while part of the vehicles was already in transit.

• Route: Japan → transit ports in Turkey / Italy / Slovenia → Moldova
• Transport mode: sea freight (Ro-Ro) + road transport (OOG)
• Cargo: fire engines, 20 units
• Key requirements: tight deadlines after port arrival, organization of OOG road sections, minimization of terminal downtime, control and communication across the entire logistics chain
• Route interfaces: coordinated truck positioning for loading immediately after discharge from the vessel at transit ports
• Operational challenge: during transportation, the final delivery point changed – we promptly replanned the ground logistics without affecting the overall schedule

After arrival at the ports, the vehicles were immediately loaded onto road transport that had been arranged in advance.

The delivery was completed in full, with control maintained at all key stages, including on-site acceptance of the first vehicles in Moldova.
